Lately...

I've been doing a lot of remembering... thinking back on some of my best memories. It's days like today when the sun is out and the promise of Spring is so near that I am happiest.

I can't help but be thankful for the life I have and the place that I am in. I learned a long time ago that trying to recreate old memories usually ends up ruining them or making them less special... so I try very hard to make new memories and focus on just remembering the old. And today I am remembering the old.

I'm so blessed to have good ones too! Seriously, there are so many people who have awful memories, and I am so thankful to have had such a good life.

Some of my favorite memories were made in the Summer of '09. I was as free as I'd ever been and I had the wherewithal to take advantage of it. I had my favorite car of all time, an '08 Honda Civic EX and the thought of driving down the east coast in it with the radio blaring and the wind whipping against me just sends me into a happy place :)

Hopefully someday Steve and I can do something like that by ourselves. I hate leaving Eliza, but at the same time, I really love just spending time with him alone. It would be so nice to just drive and drive together without having to stop for diapers or feedings... hehe :) But I also know that this current season in life is going to be very short lived. Another memory I am looking forward to making is when we have older children, like the youngest being 6 and we get to go on fun vacations.
