baby bite size deliciousness

Over the course of the last several months, we have had a lot of adventures in food. It is a constant challenge to try and get healthful food into my baby's tummy. No joke! If you've done this you know what I mean. It's really easy to cruise through the baby aisle at the grocery store and fill your cart with "baby friendly" foods. And some of them are good, healthy choices. But they're mad expensive yo! Others are a real cop out. I mean, seriously, babies past about 7-8 months really don't need puffs anymore ;) hehe. But they are tasty, so I don't blame those little babies who beg for them :)

At any rate, I have been on a constant mission to make sure I have healthful fast and easy choices for little E. I actually found this idea on pinterest. The girl took a baby food pouch and squeezed it onto a baking sheet and froze it. Voila, perfect for those little fingers who want to feed themselves. So I started out with a pouch I had in the cupboard. When I realized they were a hit I went crazy and just started making everything in sight into this stuff. Foods she was otherwise not really eating, she began eating.

So far I've made:
sweet potato/kidney bean
avocado/banana (and avocado/pear, but I don't recommend that... it tastes nasty to me)
blueberry/carrot/spinach
apples
strawberry/peach
strawberry/banana/greek yogurt

Here's how!
